there will be days you snooze the alarm one too many times, oversleep, scramble out of bed in a mad rush, get stuck in a two hour jam, are thrown into a flurry of meetings and to-dos, days that start out feeling like the end won’t come fast enough.
…and there will be moments, in days like those. small, unsuspecting little moments that creep up on you and turn the entire day around. it could be a smile from a random stranger, an unexpected love note, a haunting melody, a heart-warming video, anything, even a cup of coffee made just right. moments of absolute clarity - of knowing deep in your heart that no matter what happens, there is always something to be grateful for, that roller-coaster-ride kinda days are there to remind you that you are alive - that you’re out there, doing something, facing challenges, making memories, instead of playing it safe.
moments like that, time is irrelevant. you could have had a bad morning or a bad week or even a bad month or year, but something happens, and in a moment, your soul is young again… your spirit is renewed. in moments like those, of looking out at a beautiful sunset, or feeling warm sand in your toes, or holding the hand of someone you love, everything else just melts away, and it hits you, if this is what living is about, then you’d take all the bad days and painful memories all over again if it means it’ll lead you to moments like this one.
